I'm a post-doc in A. David Redish's lab at the University of Minnesota. My goal is to understand the computations and representations brains use for flexible decision-making ("planning"), and apply the results to prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of dysfunctional decision-making (such as occurs in addiction).
My PhD work in Neuroinformatics at Edinburgh University, involved in vivo unit recording from rat Head_direction_cells as well as making models of it. My team of advisors included Mark van Rossum, Paul Dudchenko and Emma Wood.
For a great learning experience in experimental systems neuroscience, I recommend the MBL's Neural Systems and Behavior summer course in Woods Hole, MA.
