This documentation is the same for all Template:Bibitem book N, where N=0,1,2,3,4,5 or N=etal is the number of authors.

• No ending white space should be added
• No punctuation should be added, unless stated
• No dots in authors initials.
• Dots in other abbreviations are allowed.
• Remember: position of named parameters is not semantically relevant

1: TITLE

• 1=A title with an ending full stop (or other mark)!
• 1=[http://www.articleurl.org/publishedArticle.pdf A title with hyperlink to journal].

2: PUBLISHER

• 2= Food Publishers LTD
• 2= Food Pub. LTD

3: ADDRESS

• 3=Genoa (IT)

4: YEAR

• 4= 2008

5: SURNAME 1 (for all 5>=N>=1 and N=etal)

• 5= Albero

6: FORENAME 1 (for all 5>=N>=1 and N=etal)

No dots in initials.

• 6=Antony
• 6=Antony T F
• 6=A T F

pages (OPTIONAL)

Must terminate with full stop.

• pages= Page 10.
• pages= Pages 1-20.
• pages= Chapter 5.
• pages= Section 5.2.

series (OPTIONAL)

Must terminate with full stop.

• series= The best books ever seen.
• series= The best books ever seen, Vol.3.
• series= The best books ever seen, Vol.3A.

editors (OPTIONAL)

Must terminate with full stop.

• editors= Albero editor.
• editors= Albero and Baule editors.

isbn (OPTIONAL)

Must start with ISBN and terminate with full stop.

• isbn=ISBN 0-201-123333-0.

letter (OPTIONAL)

Disambiguation letter to be shown near the year.

• letter=a
• letter=b

label (OPTIONAL)

Defines an anchor that can be linked to with e.g. [[#mylabel| some text]].
