About Fermi's article is that one of these?

    • E. Fermi, The Collected Papers of Enrico Fermi, edited by E. Amaldi et al. The University of Chicago Press, Chicago, 1962 , Vol. 2, article No. 243, pp. 813–815.

    RESPONSE

Thanks for the references. I added the Fermi-von Neumann citation from the first link.

    REVIEWER B

Ok - this is looking very good. I notice that the energy argument for the self similar scaling by Cook 2004 has been expanded. It would be useful to compare to the other self similarity argument which I believe requires fewer or no assumptions.

Looks good otherwise except for a missing reference which poses linear stability results for the problem with surface tension relevant to laboratory experiments. It is in Physics of Fluids by Livescu and references therein. I have still not recalled where I saw the Fermi article.

    RESPONSE

A sentence on the self-similarity argument has been added. It is noted that it only requires a single assumption.

The Livescu and Fermi references have been added.

Since we are down to minor details, please edit the article directly if you think any further changes are necessary.
