History of Neural Networks. The first simulations of artificial neural network go back to the early 50's with Clark and Farley, Minsky and others. The discovery of the Perceptron and the Adaline learning algorithms in the late 50's led to a flurry of work until de mid to late 60's, the realization of the limitations of linear classifiers, and the publication of Minsky and Papert's book "Perceptrons".
